Mission

Emergency physicians experience extraordinary levels of stress, and many of us have seen colleagues lose families, careers, or even their lives to the overwhelming pressures of this specialty. Our mission is to ease that burden by addressing one of the most exhausting and time-consuming tasks in emergency medicine: documentation.

ChartLock™ was created as a new approach to AI scribing and charting, built within a HIPAA-compliant Microsoft Azure environment under a formal Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Designed with a precise understanding of the unique demands of emergency medicine, ChartLock™ ensures secure, encrypted, and transient data processing while producing structured, accurate documentation.

Vision

ChartLock™ is built on integrity, accuracy, and care. It is committed to the highest standards of compliance and medical-legal reliability, while honoring the physician's independent judgment and clinical reasoning. Unlike systems that attempt to think on behalf of the doctor, ChartLock™ ensures the physician remains fully in control.

Unlike ambient scribes that attempt to passively capture conversations, ChartLock™ respects the physician's thought process—transforming dictations into complete and compliant medical records without storing, caching, or reusing data.

What Physicians Are Saying

Real testimonials from emergency medicine professionals

"It is an honor to recommend one of the most forward-thinking emergency physicians I have ever worked with. His dedication to improving how we document in the ER is unmatched. By combining deep clinical experience with advanced AI, he has created a system that completely changes the way we chart. The platform turns a simple history and exam into a clear, organized, and medically precise note that mirrors a physician's own reasoning. It bridges the gap between clinical judgment and artificial intelligence in a way that truly improves accuracy, safety, and efficiency in patient care."

James Hayes, MD

Emergency Medicine Physician

"As an emergency physician with more than twenty five years in practice, I have seen countless productivity tools come and go. ChartLock is the first system I have used that truly transforms the charting process rather than just reformatting it. After using it consistently, I can say without exaggeration that it saves me two to three hours every shift. More importantly, it has taken a tremendous amount of stress out of my day. I can now focus on patient care and diagnostic reasoning instead of wrestling with documentation. The system produces clear, complete, and compliant charts with minimal input. It has turned what was once a burdensome and time consuming task into a seamless extension of my clinical thought process. In a quarter century of emergency medicine, I can count on one hand the tools that have truly improved my quality of life at work. The ChartLock protocol is one of them, and it is nothing short of revolutionary."

James G. Clark, MD, FACEP

Emergency Medicine Physician

"I have been using ChartLock for several months, and it has completely transformed how I chart. What used to take me three times as long is now faster, more consistent, and far less stressful. The brilliance of this system is how it automatically organizes every part of a note into a complete and medically sound chart arranged in perfect order. Even if I dictate out of sequence, the protocol synchronizes and organizes everything seamlessly. It captures all essential medical and billing details with precision, making my workflow smoother and my documentation stronger. It has truly brought back the art of emergency medicine in the digital era."

Raanan Poyroy, MD

Emergency Medicine Physician

"As a traveling Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner, I have worked in ERs across the country and used nearly every major EMR system. Dr. Watson's ChartLock protocol stands out as the most effective. It is detailed, accurate, and intuitive. Since incorporating it into my workflow, my documentation has become faster, clearer, and more consistent. I have tried most systems, but none compare. This tool has set a new standard for emergency documentation, and never want to work another shift without it."

Katherine Miller, APRN

"ChartLock has been a lifesaver. It saves me more than an hour every shift, time that I can now spend with patients instead of typing. It keeps my charts structured, accurate, and compliant, and it has helped prevent down coding. Once you start using it, you will never want to go back to the old way of documenting."

Navid Arandi, MD

Emergency Medicine Physician

"This documentation platform is changing the pace of emergency medicine. Clinicians can dictate assessments, orders, plans, medications, vitals, and labs in one continuous workflow without endless clicking through templates. It improves accuracy, eliminates clerical barriers, and lets providers stay with their patients where they are needed most."

Saira Nguyen:

You've been in emergency medicine for decades. What still drives you?

Dr. Watson:

I still love it. The work matters deeply. Helping people on their hardest day is a privilege, and that never gets old.

SN:

What's one of the biggest stressors for physicians today?

Illustration for question 2
DW:

Documentation. It pulls us away from patients and drains energy that should go toward care.

SN:

How does ChartLock™ help?

DW:

It follows the same structure ER physicians naturally use when presenting cases. You dictate as you would to a colleague, and the system applies guardrails to create clean, accurate documentation—without inventing or changing anything.

SN:

Why not rely on ambient listening tools?

DW:

Because medicine isn't just words. Sometimes a patient says something that doesn't add up—or someone behind them quietly signals that the story isn't true. Physicians interpret meaning, not just speech. Ambient systems can't read those nuances, and their recordings raise consent and privacy concerns. ChartLock™ avoids that entirely: it stores nothing, every session is transient, and it's fully HIPAA-compliant.

SN:

What's your overall goal with this project?

DW:

To give physicians back time, autonomy, and peace of mind. If this helps even a few doctors finish their shift sooner and feel supported, it's worth it.
